Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Does Fidelis Law offer free consultations?

A - Yes, in most of the firm's practice areas, we offer free initial consultations. To find out if your matter qualifies for a free consultation, contact us today.

Q. What should I bring to my initial appointment?

- Please bring any documents pertaining to your legal matter(s) with you to your initial meeting. These will vary depending on your particular situation, so when in doubt, bring it with you. We will review these documents, and this will enable us to recommend the best course of action for your case.

Q. Can I bring anyone with me to my first appointment?

A - Yes, however in some circumstances we may ask that a third party not be present in the consultation because it can waive attorney client privilege. We also recognize that it may be difficult at times to find childcare, so if you are comfortable with it, children are always welcome at any appointment.

Q. Can I communicate with the attorneys by email?

- Yes, all of our attorneys and staff communicate by email. In fact, this is a very efficient means of communication, and it often allows for a response outside of our normal business hours. In addition, you can scan and email documents to us.

Q. What does it cost to hire Fidelis Law for legal representation?

A - The cost for each client matter varies. We offer flat fees, hourly billing, contingency fees and retainers, all of which are dependent on the type of legal matter being handled. The attorney fee will be discussed with you in detail, and must be agreed upon before you are billed for any time or work.

Q. Can I pay by credit card?

- In some circumstances, Fidelis Law does accept credit card payments from clients. The attorney representing you will be able to explain in more detail. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
