Robert is the Managing Partner of the law firm and has been practicing law in Tennessee for over 20 years.  He is admitted to the United States District Courts for the Middle District of Tennessee, the United States District Courts for the Western District of Tennessee, and the United States Supreme Court. Robert has practiced in a broad range of areas, but in more recent years has focused his practice in the area of church and nonprofit institutions, business planning and formation, business litigation, estate planning, and personal injury. Robert has taught continuing professional education courses, including courses for the National Business Institute, CPAs sponsored by Blankenship CPA Group, PLLC, and for the Music City Chapter of the National Association of Church Business Administrators.

Robert earned his Juris Doctorate cum laude from Florida State University (FSU) College of Law. Robert’s undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, in history and political science from Samford University. While at Samford, he received multiple academic and scholastic honors and competed in NCAA Division I athletics as a four-year letterman in Cross Country and Track & Field.

Robert and his wife Jenna are the parents of three children, and are actively involved in their church and community.  He is currently serving on the Board of Directors of Compassionate Counsel, and has served over the years on other non-profit organizations’ boards and coordinated various ministry projects in the local community. Robert also enjoys coaching at Brentwood High School, as the Head Cross Country Coach and Assistant Track Coach. During his tenure coaching Brentwood has won 5 State Titles and 1 Runner Up, and was named 2019-2021Tennessean All-Midstate Cross Country Coach of the Year.
